Though a common destination, Keswick is normally reserved for the shorter days of Winter so it makes a change to be visiting at the height of summer. High level routes include the many ridges of Blencathra, including for the more adventurous Sharp Edge, or Skiddaw. There are many low level routes too such as the old railway line and a circuit of Derwent Water. Other options include Walla Crag and Cat Bells.
There are many good pubs in the town, favourites being the Dog and Gun, the Bank Tavern and the new Wetherspoons.
The coach(es) will leave Keswick at 5:30pm and return by the M6.
