And so, another year of Wednesday Evening Walks has come to an end. It has been an enjoyable summer. I would like to give my thanks to Ian Lowcock, Keith Sutton, Peter Walker and Graeme Farrington for taking a lead on a number of walks this year with me – adding their own ‘leading’ style. They will be back again in 2018, along with 25 different walks and pubs.
A big thank you goes to everybody who turned out to the Evening Walks this year. Without you, they wouldn’t be possible. To see the large number of you attending the Wednesday Evening Walks makes it all worthwhile.
I enjoy the Evening Walks each year and I am looking look forward to the first walk of 2018, which begins on the first Wednesday in April at The Queens, Cliviger, where we will begin again.
There are still lots to do to support the Club before then, so why not try a couple of coach excursions or a Hut Weekend? And of course, don’t forget about the well-organised Dinner Dance in January which is a great event.
Enjoy your winter walking in the meantime. Watch out for the bogs!
See you soon,
Due to concerns raised for Committee Members collecting payment for trips on the return journey, whilst the coach is travelling, we will are going to start collecting payment on the outbound journey. Where possible it would assist the committee if the exact change was brought or payment was made by cheque.
